"Distant Shots" concerns the early life of Charles P. Lyman, a Bostonian
born in 1912, who grew up to be a sportsman, environmentalist, and a
Professor of Biology at Harvard University. It is composed
entirely of found footage shot by himself and his family. It
recalls a vanished life-style, from preparatory school to the
moors of Scotland. 2007 (RT

Henry Sargent, the son of an established family of Wellesley,
Massachusetts, in his youth worked for the Grenfell Mission in the
Arctic. Later he participated in the filmmaking expedition. during
which time his ship blew up in polar seas and marooned him on an
iceberg. This silent film was edited from remnants of that voyage.
