ART BRUT                                                   MPEG5 EXCERPT 3 MIN $$$

ART BRUT investigates the work of artists operating outside the ordinary art world of museums, shows, reviews and critics.  Because they often work in solitude and  are answerable only to their own inner visions, these “OUTSIDER” artists are often considered eccentric or even mad by their contemporaries.  This documentary travels to especially inspired works, such as the Palace of the Postman Cheval in France, and the extraordinary buildings of Gaudi in Barcelona, Spain.

Photographed & realized by Charles Lyman.  Editing & Sound Design by Peter Melaragno.

ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW                QUICKTIME Excerpt RT 3:42 $$$

In the year 2000, Charles J. Levin, a real estate attorney in Tampa, Florida, was inspired to establish a museum in Tampa wholly devoted to the photographic arts.  Co-founded shortly thereafter with Cindy Flowers and Vincent Sorrentino, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts has grown to become a major force on the cultural life of the city.  This 15 minute documentary briefly chronicles these first eight years of the museum's existence.   2005 (RT 15:00)
